On Wednesday, 6 January 2010, The Subtel in Chile (Chilblain broadcasting regulatory organization) published the technical standard specifications for the digital terrestrial television set in order to define the minimum technical requirements to be met by digital terrestrial television receivers in the country.

This technical standard for standard televisions such as integrated set-top boxes, one-seg cellular is an important step to facilitate the import and marketing of equipment in the context of the implementation of free-air digital TV reception.
